Sunday School & Worship Notice Due to COVID-19

General Church News

Public worship service will be offered at 10:45am in the sanctuary.  No Sunday School will be offered at this time.   We are excited to worship together again!  We recognize not everyone will feel comfortable to join us at the beginning; and that is understandable and acceptable.

We are seeking to take precautions to make our setting safe.  Pews will be sectioned off to help us comply with 6 feet social distancing.   Face masks are optional (we will seek to have extra masks available for those coming wanting one).  Offering plates will be stationed near the entrance/exit doors to the sanctuary and in front of the piano and organ..

At the same time, our desire is to seek creative ways to continue to preach and worship and fellowship with and care for one another. As we begin public worship, either live stream or a video recording of the message will be explored.  Audio of each message will still be posted on the church website and CD’s will continue to be available.  Communication via email, Facebook and the church website will be used to the extent possible so bookmark it if you haven't already and check it out frequently.

In addition you can watch a message from Right Now Media (https://www.rightnowmedia.org/Account/Invite/fbcemmett). They have lessons geared for age groups like kids, youth, and adults. You can watch a message and talk about it as a family. If you don't have access, contact Kathy or Lance.

We want to encourage you to continue to support the ministry of our church as God blesses and provides for you during this health crisis. We do not yet have online giving. You can send contributions by: sending it in the mail to First Baptist Church, 126 S. Hayes Ave., Emmett, ID 83617, arranging with your bank to send your contribution via methods such as bill pay, or by dropping it off at the church office or the church mail slot on the door.

Continue to pray for the church leaders. We encourage you to be intentional more than ever to be contacting each other and lost family and friends in meaningful, safe ways in the next few weeks. One of the ways we can be loving is to be protecting one another.

I pray God’s blessing and protection over you!  May you experience His joy and peace as you abide in Him!

Pastor Lance

Word of God: We believe that the Bible is fully inspired by God and without error in the original manuscripts. It is our final authority for faith and life.

God: We believe in the triunity of the one only true God, who is eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He created and sustains the universe. He seeks to have a personal relationship with us through Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ: We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. Through the Holy Spirit, He was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and died sacrificially for our sins, rose from the grave, ascended into heaven and promises to return in glory.

Holy Spirit: We believe the ministry of God the Holy is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, by convicting the world of sin, by saving, empowering and equipping all who believe in Christ.

Salvation: We believe that all men are sinners and fall under condemnation. Those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ's death and resurrection are forgiven, granted eternal life, and are born again to new life by the Holy Spirit.

The Church: We believe that all converts belong to Christ's universal church. We believe that all Christians are called to join a local church, consisting of believers in Christ, baptized on a credible profession of faith and associated for worshiping the Lord, winning the lost, building the believer, and sending the workers to serve in the world.

The Last Things: We believe in the personal, bodily, and imminent return of Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, the eternal joy of the righteous in heaven and the endless suffering of the wicked in hell.
